Dazed Confusion; By: Annie Scarborough

My eyes feel like a cup with fuzz

And suddenly, I’m blind

Perfectly content I was

until, to stand, I tried

My head is bursting, pounding

I am light-headed and scared

I feel for my surroundings

Balance, majorly impaired

I close my heavy, dizzy eyes

I try to stand upright

The throbbing in my head subsides

And makes my skull feel tight

I check to see if it is gone

By opening my eyes

The blindness drains and passes on

The dizzy leaves my mind

Cerebral throbs return in waves

The dizziness persists

Then all at once the symptoms fade

As if they were dismissed.
